External guttering, downpipes and rainware installed or replaced. Soffits and fascias on request.
Most bathroom external walls run with a gutter or downpipe nearby. When we are renovating an external bathroom wall, the rainware behind it gets attention so the new render lasts. Sycamore replaces sections, refits joints, and installs full new gutter runs in PVC or aluminium.
We work in PVC for budget, aluminium for the look on period properties, and cast-iron-effect for character matches. Soffits and fascias on the same scaffold trip if the timber is going.
For one-off downpipe replacements, full rainware refurbs after a wall render, soffit and fascia replacement, gutter cleaning and regradient, and chimney lead flashings on the same trip.
Every job is run the same way: same team, same trades, same approach. The notes below are how we think about guttering & rainware specifically.
Most economical, easy to maintain, comes in black, brown and white. Ten to fifteen year working life.
Painted finish, longer life than PVC, better look on a period property. Joints are riveted not glued.
PVC over the existing rafter ends, all rotten timber removed first. Bird-proofing on request.
Existing gutters that are slow-running often just need cleaning and a regradient pass.
